WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
The business of creativity takes vision, dedication, hard work, organization, business savvy, and, of course, a true love of your art. In this beginner level workshop, you will be given the guidance you need to turn your creative skill into a full-fledge career or business. Artists and creative entrepreneurs who take the Foundry’s signature workshop, The Business of Creativity will learn key business skills that provide them with the knowledge and resources to help advance their art, develop their ideas and increase their financial independence. Students will learn key concepts involved in goal setting, strategic planning, marketing and self-promotion, money management, legal issues and project financing.

The Business of Creativity is taught by The Foundry’s co-founder Alana Sparrow. Alana is a leading creative entrepreneur, accomplished fine artist, award winning designer and marketing professional with 20+ years of experience. She has worked with regional, national, and international clients in the business to business and business to consumer markets, in industries ranging from finance to fashion.
